As for my sister, I was able to finish these things just in time for her shower...

Now that the shower is over, I have a chance to relax and knit without a deadline. I've got a half finished Anouk on the needles and I just started another baby sweater. I think I like baby knitting. Small, sweet and for some reason the FO's make me giggle.
My head feels a lot lighter, the stress of party planning is gone. Just the thought of 60+ guests squeezed into the house in unseasonably warm October weather made my stress levels rise uncontrollably. I also got my hair cut this past weekend...
TWELVE inches to Locks of Love...it's going to take a while getting used to this short hair. Although it's not as bad as my last donation, that was seventeen inches...

Your sister's baby will be the best dressed one wherever she goes! The booties, shrug and jacket are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful thing to do. Your hair looks lovely!
What beautiful baby knits! Both sweaters came out great and the booties are just adorable!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby knits! I love them!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had thought about Locks of Love BEFORE I made my big cut a few weeks ago. When I went in, I had not intended to go as short as I did - and it ended up being about 11 or 12 inches off... Your new haircut looks great! and it will take some getting used to - mine sure has!
OMG, the knits are too die for!! Oh, and your hair looks fabulous, absolutely.

Those are gorgeous baby knits. I particularly like Trellis -- that color is so lush and perfect for the pattern. Plus, it's an unusual color for a baby, though one that a baby will look lovely in.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the LoL donation. I did that a year ago and it was well worth it.
All of your baby knits are so sweet! I know your sister appreciated all of the hand knit items.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great!

Those are most adorable baby knits! I love the cabled sweater! And the booties are so cute.
ReplyDeleteGood thing hair grows for free, you'll have your mane back soon! ;o)
Hey:)
ReplyDeleteI cast on for Trellis because yours is so pretty. Can you tell me your method for doing a left twist. When I do it as this pattern instructs, I end up with two stitches on my needle. I switched to EZ's left twist which is much easier for me, but will it look the same?

Beautiful, all of them! Your new haircut looks really great too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe shorter hair looks really fresh! And those baby knits are adorable, I have a weakness for the bootees.
