felted and lined

It was a pretty good, weekend, fun, but not much happened on the knitting front. (at least on my needles) I was able to check out a bunch of knitting blogs, mostly the ones with Project KA and the Fiber RAOK ring. It's great to see what everyone has on their needles. My head spins a little when I mentally add things to my craft queue and wish list.

I was able to felt my Kool Aid Sophie. (a great weekend for felting and catching up on the laundry). The bag felted more than the phone cozy, but otherwise I think it came out alright. Now I just have to line it and add the snap to the phone cozy, and I will have another FO.

...and I was finally able to line the Byzanz bag. I'm planning on giving it to my sister, so hopefully she'll like it, and maybe she'lll even use it. ;-)

WOW! They both look amazing! The Kool Aid Sophie came out adorably -- the colours are fabulous felted as well. And the phone cozy is the perfect touch (and very practical, too, I would say).

I'm sure your sister would love the Byzanz bag and carry it proudly. Who wouldn't? It looks tres tres chic. And you've done a lovely job of lining it, too. What sort of material did you choose for the lining? I quite like the contrasting colour. Very suitable.

You and your sister are going to have a most fashionable fall, I see. Well done!

Two very chic FO's you've got there, eyeleen. I like the Byzanz bag very much. What yarn did you use for that?

*note to self - MUST line own Booga*

I used Gedifra Byzanz. I'm not very original with names, I usually name my projects after the yarn I use. :-)

Yeah Project Kool-aid! I really like your Sophie Bag. I also did Project Kool-Aid though I still haven't knitted anything with my yarn yet. You can check it out at www.onmyisland.blog-city.com, if interested.

I love your Byzanz purse! I have a couple of skeins of Byzanz in the same colorway that I've been wondering what to do with....how many skeins did that bag take? (BTW, I found you through the 'random' of the Beginner Babe webring). :)

When I bought the Byzanz yarn I didn't quite know what to do with it. I Just loved the color. Anyway, I used a little less than 4 skeins of yarn, and it was knit in the round on size 15 needles.

happy knitting!
