We had an awesome Friday evening while waiting for the HBP. It's always wonderful to see so many people excited about
books. The store created some sort of Harry Potter scavenger hunt, so it seemed as though children were running around in circles. So while the god-kids and the cousins joined the others in the circling, I found a quiet spot in military history and knit. I've made some headway on the shawl, but as my weekend was entirely devoted to Harry Potter, I didn't get much accomplished.
...no worries, NO SPOILERS here...but I couldn't resist this...
'...I was merely reading the Muggle magazines,' said Dumbledore. 'I do love knitting patterns.'

That Dumbledore is one seriously cool guy! Thanks for sharing that! I'm hoping my copy arrives in today's mail.
Ugh, I'm still reading book 3 of the Harry Potter series. I sort of stopped a few years ago.
Anyway, I love your photos, you have a great eye for composition.
I just bought HBP for M's BD next week and managed to wrap it and put it away BEFORE reading it. At the checkout, two women saw the book and commented how they don't read it. One implied "that kind of thing"... wizards etc. Interesting.
Oh, what a sweet guy, that Dumbledore! I wonder if they are allowed to use magic when they knit? And what about Ron's mother, does she knit the muggler way or with magic?
Heh heh! I wanted to post about that too! Even my husband looked up and smiled at me while we were reading it!
